Madison Advisory Board Member, Mike Daniels, Chairs March for Babies
Did you know that premature birth is the #1 killer of babies in the United States?
Madison’s long-time Advisory Board member and President and COO of Nicolet National Bank, Mike Daniels, knows firsthand the challenges of having a baby born too soon. His twin boys, Brett and Braden were born at 28 weeks and weighed just 2 pounds, 7 ounces, and 1 pound, 7 ounces, respectively. Mike and his wife “were scared as hell not sure if the babies were going to survive. It was a long road with constant hurdles every day, from surgeries and blood transfusions to infections, the journey seemed endless.” But under NICU care, each day the boys continued to grow and develop until they were finally ready to come home.
Mike’s deeply personal experience led him to chair this year’s March for Babies in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The March for Babies, which takes place nation-wide, is the largest annual fundraiser for the March of Dimes. The money raised will help the March of Dimes fund research to find out why premature births occur as well as support programs that help more babies to be born healthy and on time.
Mike would be honored if you would join him in supporting this cause by donating to March for Babies. The Madison team is proud to support Mike with this important effort and wishes him the best of luck!
The March for Babies Walk is scheduled for April 30. Mike’s fundraising goal is $5,000. If you would like to help, please donate by visiting Mike’s direct March for Babies page.
