Madison’s Alan Henning Leads Campaign, Raising over $400,000 for the Boy Scouts

Alan Henning, principal and senior wealth advisor at Madison, served as the 2017 Chairman for the Family Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaign, which raises money annually for local scouting programs. Under Alan’s leadership, the FOS campaign successfully met its goal of raising over $400,000 for the Dan Beard Council, one of the largest administrators of scouting programs in the country. The council provides scouting to more than 30,000 youth, has an army of over 6,000 adult volunteers, and serves 12 counties in Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the council operations are completely funded by the FOS annual giving campaign along with corporate sponsorships, popcorn sales, and United Way funding.

Alan has been involved in scouting since his youth and currently serves on the Board of the Dan Beard Council.  All of his children have participated in scouting with two of his sons attaining scouting’s highest rank of Eagle Scout.

He recently put his scouting experience to work this summer with the highlight being a family backpacking trip to Yosemite National Park, which included a summit of Half Dome.

Along with Alan’s successful FOS campaign, Madison provided its annual support of the Dan Beard Council through various sponsorships. We congratulate Alan on an extraordinary scout’s program campaign.
