A Virginia Steeple Chase Racing Tradition
Madison Wealth Management recently celebrated its annual Day at the Races appreciation event, where guests enjoyed spring’s arrival, the bucolic setting, and competitive steeplechase racing. Held at the historic Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Virginia, this year marked the 53rd running of the Loudoun Hunt Point to Point races. Close to 100 guests joined us at our tented rail spot, sipping sangria and nibbling on sandwiches and assorted desserts while watching riders compete in seven races over some of the most challenging timber and hurdle courses in the area.
The event, which attracts thousands of visitors as well as a roster of the region’s top riders, is one of the Hunt’s largest fundraisers of the season. Event funds also go to support the Oatlands Plantation, a lovely 260 acre farm with terraced gardens, a Federal style mansion and unique outbuildings. The Oatlands has hosted the races since its inception over half a century ago.
We are grateful to all of our clients and friends, and enjoyed sharing a wonderful day in the Virginia countryside with many of you and your children.
