Madison Team Supports Latin American Youth Center
Madison team members were out in force, recently attending the 2019 Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) gala, where over 500 businesses, nonprofit leaders, public officials, youth, and supporters joined together for a night of celebration. This year, LAYC honored Volkswagen for supporting the nonprofit through their commitment to volunteerism and financial support, along with The Annie E. Casey Foundation for their work to amplify the voices of young people. The MC for the evening was two-time Emmy award winner (and current sports anchor for Telemundo Washington) Moisés Linares. Festivities included a silent auction and dining experience at the Washington Marriott.
LAYC has been providing services to young people across the District of Columbia and Maryland for 51 years. The nonprofit organization focuses on helping a diverse population of underserved youth so that they may reach their full academic, social, and professional potential. LAYC is unique in that it is the only multi-service youth development organization that offers multi-cultural, multi-lingual services to youth of all backgrounds. The organization offers programs in academics, arts and recreation, health and wellness, and safe housing.
The Madison team is honored to continue its support of such an important organization. Through Madison’s Rick England, CFPÒ, we have had a long and fruitful history with LAYC. For more information on LAYC, visit their website: http://www.layc-dc.org/
