Madison Receives “Future 50” Award at Citywire Retreat
We are pleased to be named to Citywire’s inaugural list of “Future 50 RIAs”! The industry publication recognized 50 Registered Investment Advisors (RIA) from across the country that best represent its vision of the future of the industry. Madison’s Chief Investment Officer, Ed Kuresman, CFA, and Senior Portfolio Manager, Brad Meeks, CFA, traveled to Austin, Texas to attend a conference and to accept the award.

To be considered for the award, firms had to be registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an RIA with between $250 million and $2 billion in assets under management. Citywire measured Madison’s independence, how we manage our investment practice, what percentage of our income is fee based, how inclusive, diverse and sustainably-minded we are and how much we have grown as a business in recent years. Other ranking factors included the processes in place for attracting and maintaining talent, succession planning, staff credentials, investment offerings and capabilities, client education and charitable work, and firm service offerings.
The objective of Citywire’s ranking was to “highlight the leaders of this competitive and growing RIA industry.” That is, Citywire believes the selected RIA’s “have their own unique story to tell, are driven to succeed on their own terms and, most importantly, are in charge of their own investment decisions.” And, in Madison’s case, we agree!
The result of the ranking is a robust list of 50 firms that Citywire has identified as “the best of the crop in the RIA community.”
