Heather Molloy, Senior Wealth Advisor, CFP®, CPA/PFS, Earns CDFA

We are pleased to announce that Heather Molloy, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING™ practitioner and Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Personal Financial Specialist(PFS), has earned new credentials as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA). With close to 30 years of experience in providing financial, tax, and strategic planning advice, she was also recently promoted to Senior Wealth Advisor.

A CDFA is a trained and certified financial professional who can help you navigate the financial aspects of divorce. They often work with divorce lawyers and look at short- and long-term financial asset values. They also often work with clients to determine how to afford the lifestyle they want to lead post-divorce or how divorce will affect taxes going forward.

At Madison, we encourage our whole team to pursue continuing education and credentials to serve our clients’ needs. Having helped dozens of Madison Wealth Management clients over five years with her dynamic skillset and always-determined attitude, Heather’s well-earned promotion was celebrated by her teammates.

Most importantly, Heather is passionate about empowering clients to achieve financial freedom and enjoys working with them to create financial plans that bring them peace of mind. Heather is especially skilled at addressing the needs of business owners who are planning for an upcoming liquidity event, and women with significant life transitions (e.g., recently widowed, divorced, or caring for aging parents or special needs children).

Heather is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Before joining Madison, Heather ran her own tax and business advisory firm for five years. Previously, she was employed as a controller, finance, and human resource professional by several small-to-mid-sized companies in the Washington, D.C., area.

Heather earned her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Richmond in Virginia. Active in her community, Heather is a grant-maker for Loudoun Impact Fund (LIF), a philanthropic organization based in Loudoun County, VA. She is also a founding Board Member for the Young Men’s Service League Dulles chapter, an organization that promotes mothers and sons volunteering together in their local community. She resides with her husband and three children in Round Hill, Virginia.
